Some of the fusions done in certain surgeries like mine do take away some

neck mobility ....I was warned before becoming a zipper head.

I am still on a brace but I have tested my neck and it is mighty

stiff......I have not moved it in 6 months and I have a big titanium piece

holding it together down to C3 ........as I understand it I will never have

a full range of motion.

We are all different ....if I just can at least drive I will be happy

.....turning your whole body can look chic!!!!!

C1 removed? Re: Leanna

my hubby seems to think my spine (neck area) will be fused and I wont

be able to turn my head anymore, >>>>

I had the back section of both C1 and C2 removed in my surgery, and my neck

is fine. I can

look up, down, left or right and I have a full range of motion.

I've never heard of anyone who has not been able to turn their head after

surgery.

I have heard from people who were afraid to turn their head after surgery

(because it hurts :)

and I've always suggested that they do everything they can to keep moving

their neck.. because if you don't, you WILL have neck problems.

Ps.. don't try to do a head-stand. That will REALLY hurt.
