Guest guest
Some of the fusions done in certain surgeries like mine do take away some neck mobility ....I was warned before becoming a zipper head. I am still on a brace but I have tested my neck and it is mighty stiff......I have not moved it in 6 months and I have a big titanium piece holding it together down to C3 ........as I understand it I will never have a full range of motion. We are all different ....if I just can at least drive I will be happy .....turning your whole body can look chic!!!!! Alba in Dallas C1 removed? Re: Leanna my hubby seems to think my spine (neck area) will be fused and I wont be able to turn my head anymore, >>>> I had the back section of both C1 and C2 removed in my surgery, and my neck is fine. I can look up, down, left or right and I have a full range of motion. I've never heard of anyone who has not been able to turn their head after surgery. I have heard from people who were afraid to turn their head after surgery (because it hurts and I've always suggested that they do everything they can to keep moving their neck.. because if you don't, you WILL have neck problems.
