Hello I am new!

Hello Everyone!

Well I am new here! Last night I was looking for support groups on ways to

loose weight but in a healthy way. I don't use diet pills, and never will. I

like exercise when I actually do do it. I like the thought of eating good food

that is healthy for you. I don't like diets! lol.

So anyways a lil more about me would be I am 22 will be 23 on the 7th this

month! Yay me! I have been married 5 yrs to my husband who at one time was

annorexic(sp) and is now up to 165! Its taken him these past 5 yrs but he has

done it! I am so proud of him! I am 5'3 and 284lbs, so obviously I don't have a

problem eating the food, just eating the wrong things and too much!

Anyways I am glad to be here and hope to find the encouragment and some

guidence too in what this is all about because it seems like something I could

do. I have been looking up doing the Lap Band but then I got the idea that

someone could use the same principles of how that system works without having to

have it done! So here I am to see if this is right for me because it sounds

about the same. Like recognising when your full or hungry and eating good foods

that will help you with that!

Welcome ,

Hope you will treat yourself to finding out more about Intuitive Eating so that

you can get a better start with it too. There's a Book List in the Files section

here at the site (left column) to look at and print out too so that you can take

it to your local library as well.

Lap Band is just NOT a good idea - way too many potential problems/side effects

AND it does not deal with the underlying CAUSE of weight either. IE may be a

slow process, but in the long run you will be much better off health wise as

well as turning your (young!) life back over to yourself too.
