Guest guest
Dear Friends, I’ve been “lurking” without responding for a while. Many of you know about the problems I’ve had finding a MD in our area who would treat me with the AP since our return from Indonesia in November. Our first attempt was a disaster, including a registered letter from the MD saying he didn’t want to treat me. That is putting it mildly but he really did us a favor. After much prayer and searching, we (my hubby and I) visited a women doctor about a 35-minute drive from us who took 2-½ hrs., doing a history and physical on the two of us! Can you really believe it? I couldn’t, but after talking to her and explaining the path I had gone through treating my Polymyositis, she said that she had been hearing about the AP for RA diseases and encouraged me to bring the FAQ on my next visit. Then she proceeded to write RX’s for the Minocin and Clinocin. :-) In so many ways I am so much better since I returned to the USA after so many years working in Indonesia. We are able to manage so much better with polution control in our home and there is concessions for handicapped people here in the USA that is not even considered in a Third World Country. Thanks to in Canada for her suggestions with supplements which seem to also be helping. For those of you who pray, my main problem now is my back problems. I have checked into many therapies and most seem to be dead ends for me. I had a repeat MRI done Tuesday to compare with the one I had done in Singapore in Oct. I’ll see what options I have left when I see the orthopadic MD on Monday. Thanks for all the support. /Polymyositis 1994 / AP since 1998 & Morley
