Guest guest
Welcome so glad to have you with us Eva Hi, I'm a 49 YRO happily married gal with two adult children out of the house and one mid teenager who is with us part time. My DH is in the USAF. I own and run a sewing business. We have two cats at and Luke my 160 pound Great Dane. I started having a weight problem 10 years ago after a hysterectomy. I had the surgery and then met my Husband, dated for two years and then married, between then and Sept of 2008 I packed on about 70 pounds. I starved my self and lost that weight twice, and of course gained it all back. Lots of emotional things happening in those years with teenagers, our house burning down and life in general. Well everything all all back to normal, the kids are doing well and I'm looking at 50. I decided last September that I was going to loose 80 pounds so that I could be as healthy as possible for the next half of my life. I have so far lost 68 pounds, my health is very good, I feel great physically and emotionally. We made a lot of eating changes, the biggest one was cutting out my sugar habit in my coffee, which added up to about 30 tsp's a day and 40 if nobody was watching!! After I did that my hunger diminished incredibly! I also started serving my hubby and I serving size portions only. Between Sept and Dec I lost 35 pounds and started exercising. Now I do not feel like I am dieting because I am not, I am eating what I consider right and walking 5-7 miles a day (Thank you Luke!). I have 12 more pounds to go for my goal 150lbs on my 5'7" frame. I am joining this group hoping to find other folks who are interested in health and nutrition and a gentler kinder way of of dealing with any food related problems.------------------------------------
