Guest guest
What's TIBC & CBC? Should I add those to my list things I need to be tested for? C Re: new labs; entering the fray... It depends. With my endo's office I went in for my blood test and also requested that they test my Ferritin, TIBC and a CBC. They did. Keep in mind I went in there without an appointment too. And they didn't check with the Dr. Louise
Guest guest
It's important to know if you have antibodies. Hashi's/Graves are autoimmune diseases which puts you at greater risk for getting another one (like Lupus etc.) TIBC is total iron binding capacity and CBC is complete blood count. The reason why I had those done was because my % of iron saturation is high. Louise > What's TIBC & CBC? Guest guest
According to my symptoms, others, including my accupuncturist, told me I've already got immune system diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, scleroderma for a few. Goddess only knows what others I have that haven't been tested for by any of my doctors so far. I've also been dx'd with DDD, osteoarthritis, osteopenia, spondylitis, food/environmental allergies, chemical sensitivites, so no doubt those are immune deficient diseases too. So should I be tested for iron saturation levels before I get the TIBC & CBC tests done? C Re: new labs; entering the fray... It's important to know if you have antibodies. Guest guest
I would get your ferritin checked first. I went to a health fair that did the TIBC and % saturation. That's the only reason why I had those results.
