Baleine makes an iodized sea salt. I got it at Wholefoods. They

also make non-iodized versions, so be sure to check the label

carefully. I think this one is legal.

I buy Hain iodized sea salt. It says it has dextrose in it, according to the

label..... but Elaine has said we should not worry about the minute amount of

dextrose in salt. She is more concerned about the need for iodine.

SCD legal salt w/iodine-need some brand names & where to

buy

My son has been diagnosed w/hypothyroidism. I understand that iodine

deficiency can contribute to this disorder. Anyway, can someone tell

me a brand of SCD legal salt w/iodine. We currently use 100% sea salt

w/o iodine and my son really needs the iodine now. I know this is in

the archives somewhere and apologize I can not find it. I am going

shopping tomorrow morning, if anyone is able to get back to me before

I leave it would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance

The generic wal-mart brand of table salt (Great Value I think is what it's

called) is iodized and has no dextrose, which is what makes the salt illegal.

I'll post ingredients if you want - but since you use sea salt, you might not be

interested, but if you are, let me know.

Dextrose in salt is not illegal....... Elaine has said not to worry about it. If

you can avoid it, then fine...... but most all iodized salt has it and she has

said it's fine to go ahead and use.

I've seen posts where people are trying to avoid it if possible - this is why I

mentioned it. I was actually quite surprised I easily found any without it. I

should not have phrased my post the way I did - saying 'that is why the salt is

illegal' - I didn't really mean it was illegal, but that if you want to avoid

the dextrose anyway, by choice, then this brand doesn't have it. Sorry - that

could have been really misleading - thank you for clarifying it.
