Guest guest
You send a written request for medical records (or call). This request will be that your records are being given (loaned really) to you. The same as if you were requesting to have them sent to another doctor but this time your request is to you. Yes, YOU. You tell the hospital, lab, doctors office, clinic, who ever you are going to get these records that you want to...... HAND CARRY THEM TO THE DOCTOR IN NEW YORK. They truly have no choice. YOU SEE???? You are not asking for a copy of your medical records you are asking for the records so that you can transport them. Now ... they will say. " we will mail them to the doctor " You tell them that you are seeing 29 doctors all in one week and they ALL want to see your records. That is a real hoot because they CANNOT charge you for sending doctor to doctor! That means they would have to run your film thru their copy machine 29 times... You will see their little head spinning as they hand your films to you. ***************************** I think I forgot to say that you MUST go to the place where the films are AND PICK THEM UP YOURSELF. Do not let them talk you in to sending them or any such thing. The last thing you want is to have our wonderful mail service loose them. By the way,,, I have every film that was ever take of me from the age of 16 filled in order in my linen closet! If a new doctor needs films I just bring them with me... Oh yes ... be sure NOT TO LEAVE THEM THERE or you will be in the same place you started from! Hope this helped! Debbi
