Hi Joy,

I use the patches a lot and find them quite helpful now that I am going

back to work! I use it while I am working at the first sign of increasing

pain--usually about 3 hours from the time I start. The 12 hours on/then off

rule is not something you have to stick rigidly to as I usually fall asleep

in the evening with mine still on and it falls off during the night...this

has had no ill effects. For me, by doing it this way, it keeps me from

having to take more oral pain meds. Just go by trial and error and find out

which way works best for you.
