I really think a person for sure has to be on their optimal dose of Armour before they start losing weight. And even then, I think it's sorta hard but can be done. I recommend Shoman's book, The Thyroid Diet for tips on weight loss and diet. Cindi
Guest guest
After being on synthroid meds 3 months I got Armour and didn't lose weight till I upped my dose on my own (dr undermedicating-jerk). Day two on the correct dose and I started losing weight. Mind you I jog about 5 miles a day and take in few calories. My temps are finally up to 98.2 rising temp and 98.4-98.6 during the day. 4 wks I've lost 8-10 lbs. My weight isn't stable yet. Take a day off exercise and I gain. > > I am a woman in my 50's. Guest guest
>>I am a woman in my 50's. I started generic Armour 12 days ago. I have not, however, been able to lose any of the weight gained in the past few years. I am wondering what other people's experience in this are is. Also, I am wondering how long it will take for the eyebrows to re-grow?<< In just 12 days I am not surprised you are not losing weight yet! LOL The damage to your body didn't happen over night, it will take quite some time to heal. I would strongly recommend NOT raising your Armour any more till the T4 in it has time to catch up which takes 4-6 weeks. Once that is caught up you may find the weight will start coming off, or you might still need more. But you increased your dosage way too fast and if you go hyper when the T4 catches up, it may take a while to clear the excess out of your system, and it will not be comfortable. Most people start on 1 grain a day at the most then work their way up increasing by 15 MG every other week or so. *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Diabetes?
