Guest guest
Jeanne, I am not an expert on sulfur issues. Why don't you join sulfurstories (another yahoo group) and you can talk to Owens, who is an expert on sulfur issues. My kids eat high sulfur foods and it does not aggravate yeast. But I would ask if you want to be certain. Jody mom to -5 and -7 SCD 18 months
Guest guest
I 'think' if the body doesn't convert sulpher to the friendly form (I forget sulfite or sulfate) then I understand it can feed bacteria and yeast. But, if the body isn't doing this properly, it may be lacking in molybednum - a trace mineral. I give this to because he's always been sensitive to high sulpher foods, especially eggs. He seems to have no problems with them any more. I'm so not an expert, but I thought I'd tell you what I know. Please post what you find out, if anything. Robbie Re: Sulfury Foods cause Yeast? Guest guest
Robbie, I caught your response as I was flipping through the posts and it perked my interest. I had a fecal test done about a year ago for my 4 yr ASD boy. It showed that he was deficient in molybdemum. How do I test if he is still deficient? The clinic I used is very expensive. Also, can you recomend a moly. supplement that is legal? has been off eggs for more than a year and now he's back on them for the intro. diet. Should I be concerned about sulpher? He suffers from intermitent constipation and hasn't had a good b.m. in three days. He's very hyper and jumping all around the furniture and more emotionally erratic. , SCD day 3, Barrie, On, Can.
