Being one's own self caretaker is the 'fourth leg' of IE for me (after eating,

food, emotion challenges). Its also the most difficult because it is not only

hardest to 'see' or work on - it also requires long term commitment and

practice, practice, practice!

Besides being relaxation challenged, striping away the 'I don't need to be taken

care of' barrier that I have deeply ingrained is my #1 stumbling block for self

caretaking. So it is a good exercise for me to find and remind myself what I do

now that is self-care.

1) I get good rest.

2) I do not force myself to DO as much I used to. (I'm very 'do' oriented - its

part of my self esteem - to be capable)

3) I keep at IE practices, even when I feel myself 'slipping'. (posting here is

part of that ongoing effort)

4) I am more mindful of needing, finding and gifting myself with caretaking that

I tend to resist (anti-gremlin work?!?)

5) I get massages!
