Guest guest
Hi everyone! I am having the peels done in conjunction with the photoderm treatments, and I have to report that at this point in time, my skin appears to have a smoother surface--from the 2 photoderms last summer (having suffered burns/blisters which left some scarring) to the 3 I've had since December '99, with 4 peels in between the photoD sessions; there is an improvement. With the peels, I signed up and paid for, a package of 12 total--because the package deal was so much cheaper than paying for each one on a single treatment basis.....I decided this after my first peel, with only the " cleaned up and cleared " impression I had, so that single treatment payment was applied to the other 11 that would be on the 12-package. I can get out, see the left side of my face in the car window reflected back at me, and not want to vomit at what I see about the surface of my skin. I will be going for peel #5 this Friday; and am hoping that eventually, the line-burn-scar from June's '99 treatment, will fade completely. Mike--this is not to say that photoderm with peels is something that everyone could tolerate, or even NEED.....but if you have the uneven, or marked skin surface that many of us come to suffer from, you may wish to investigate it--you may end up deciding it's totally horrible for your type skin! Wishing you the best, Carol
Guest guest
Hi a, I probably have, a medium skin-tone, and the photoderm, for me is set at " type III " skin...blonde, blue eyed (greenish) with skin that does not generally burn (I am not a sun worshipper--too HOT, & Heat does bother me) or I take all day to get a sunburn without sunscreen on! My skin is chemically sensitive-- NO, not perfume! --but things like " myristals " " myristates " " palmitic " " palmitate " " stearic acid " in very heavy amounts makes my poor face rage up into loads of ugly papules, maybe because almost every facial care product seems to have at least a few of these " baddies " for my skin, contained in them. Also, my skin is probably (I hate to use the term) Normal to Oily--although I just can't consider rosacea skin " normal " !!!! Hope this helps, Carol a Tietz wrote: > Carol, > > What skin type do you have?
