Dear Rhonda,

I'll bet there are some answers somewhere to your insurance issues - at

least I hope so in this day and age! Does your state have a program? The U

of Wash clinic has a social worker to help with some of these issues. I know

you don't have much energy but maybe someone can help you research it or

someone here has some ideas. It's too bad to have to worry about getting

proper treatment when you are sick and least able to deal with it. It has

sure made me aware of the situation of so many retirees, too.

Take care and I hope that you get some relief soon.

Thinking of you,

Amy

Hi!

Be careful with sun. I've had a bad reaction through my light cotton

shirt in a 10 minute time frame and even faster on my face if I forget my

suncreen and hat!

Lee-Anne,

I have RA, OA and Fibro. I started on Arava and Bextra with some prednisone

as needed. It worked well for me for about 9 months and then just stopped

working. In that time frame I also changed Rheummy docs and my new doc is far

more aggressive. He started Methotrexate pills at first....I had terrible

nausea and dizziness. He then changed me to MTX injections and put me on 5mg

prednisone maintainance dosage. After 6 months I was not getting enough relief

and

5 weeks ago he added Embrel and I am up to taking 17.5mg of Methotrexate

weekly.

I personally prefer injections over pills. Far less GI effects and I have a

very sensitive stomach.

Good luck

Toni

Do any of you have suggestions on a simple signing video? We were told that

there were a couple on the market with children doing the signing and then the

viewer mimiced them. Of course, the people that said they were great could

not remember anything to identify the videos so we're shooting in the dark! Any

guidance would be appreciated!

I have a blues clues video that has some signing in it. However, I purchased

it at a flea market.....
