Guest guest
Vicki, I have no idea who wrote the book, i just picked it up at a barnes and noble. Also i have never douched and i have also read that douching can lead to PID. They talked about diet controlling the acid in the vagina, but i dismissed that cause i have a bland diet anyway. I don't like spicy foods. , We just had our 2 month apt and *I* took control over what vaccines my baby got. The one she was *supposed* to get was HiB, Hep B (until they pulled it) DTap and IPV. We opted to get the DTaP. The IPV is put off until 6 months, she has little to no risk of polio right now. The HiB is put off til 4 months cause she really needs to have 2 doses to be " immune " ....and the Hep B...well, put off indefinately. My doctor didn't treat me like i was a freak for not wanting my baby to have all these shots but with colic and plus, shes so small. Why have her bombarded with all these shots if they aren't medically *necessairy* at this point. So make sure you take charge of your babys shots. And don't get what youre not comfortable with. Its your baby. >>How do we know it is SUCH a strick schedule?? Maybe its every 2 hours could >>be every 2-4 hours bepending on when the baby wants it. Just because she has >>a routine doesn't mean anythign is wrong. I bet at least one time your bay >>has had to wait a bit before she got to eat. >>Amy Amy, this lady is my neighbor and when he was a newborn he was on an every 3 hours schedule during the day and fed on demand at night...which was usually longer than 3 hours. Once i was over there and he was crying and i asked if i could hold him for her...she said that he was hungry but that it wasn't 'time' for him to eat yet. He had another 25 minutes til it was 'time. i just felt like she was missing his cues and that he needed to have his needs met. Hes an infant, not an adult who knows how to deal with waiting 25 more minutes. ya know? , i am like you in the way that i use humor to deal with things. I detest the dentist and have had to go 5 times in the last 5 weeks. The first dentist i saw on my first 2 trips was a reg. dentist and she was fun and had a sence of humor. I teased her when she kept telling me " just 2 more seconds " and she'd take that drill thing outta my mouth and i said to her " your 2 seconds is up lady! " She thought that was funny and we had a good laugh. We just joked back and forth. Well, the oral surgeon didn't have a sence of humor and i was *very* scared...so i was trying to lighten things up by telling him i would scream as loud as i could if he hurt me...well, i WAS kidding...and he found nothing humorous in it! I had to actually TELL him i was kidding! Geez, the guy reminded me of the monotone guy who does the visine commercials! I am glad i am done with this guy! :-) <<That is disgusting. What if a child was in trouble in the pool? Would they be " too <<busy " then, too? (my husband) would have been fired had he been doing <<that! You obvious can't be guarding lives in a pool where one second all may be <<fine and the next something diasterous can happen if you are " so busy " as to be <<talking or flirting or reading. I had an experience with a lifeguard several years ago when katie was 1. This lifeguard was promised a job at our pool and at the last minute the manager told him there was no place for him. Well, this guy threatened to sue if he didn't get his promised job...so they let him work. He ended up being the best lifeguard we ever had! At the " baby pool " the lifeguards were usually too busy sunning themselves to watch the kids...that was the moms job. Well, katie went under when i had my back turned for a second and this lifeguard was right on top of her! I sang his praises! ___________________________________________________________________ Get the Internet just the way you want it. Free software, free e-mail, and free Internet access for a month!
