[beck-n-stuff] New threat from FDA ACtion - Alpha Omega Labs

I tried to order some cansema (black salve) and H3O from Alpha omega Labs

and got this reply. I think we should all petition the FDA on their

behalf. This FDA stuff is really getting to be invasive. I believe this

probably resulted from our mentioning this last week on the

EnergeticMedicine group. Just warning you - Big brother is watching!

We are unable to help you. We do not have the products and are unable to

answer any questions at this time. Please read the letter listed below

regarding our current situation and refer to our web site for any

At 9:10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 17th, 2003 the Federal Drug

Administration (FDA) suspended most activities at our fulfillment center in

Louisiana. They have deemed the above products questionable in the United

States of America. They believe that our products are not safe for human

consumption. The FDA is currently testing the products they have taken

from our facility. They have accused us of making health claims for our

products, such as claiming they could cure, prevent or treat a disease even

though we have a disclaimer on almost every page and each product label

stating: " To U.S. Users Only: The statements made on this page have not

been evaluated by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. The viewing of this

page in your country is for historic and educational purposes only. This

product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. "

If you are satisfied with our products and their usefulness in helping to

congressman to help in the amendment of the current laws which prevent you

from obtaining the alternative health products that Alpha Omega and other

Another lab shut down! (see below) Just look at the number of products on the

list many of you no doubt use that are no longer available from this lab. It

won't be long until the FDA and pharmaceutical industry reach their goal of

making it impossible for any of us to have access to nutritional supplements.

That's already happened in the European Union and in Britain, and I understand

to a lesser extent in Canada and Australia.

There is a move in Congress right now to restrict your freedom to use

nutritional supplements. The bill calls for a system whereby you can report

adverse reactions to these supplements. The product would immediately be taken

off the market while it is being investigated.

Dr. n Whitaker, editor of the widely read Health & Healing newsletter,

gives this scenario. " Mrs. in Somewhere, USA, is taking a supplement

containing vitamin C. One afternoon she has some diarrhea. She faints, falls

in her bathroom, hits her head and is hospitalized with a head injury. Believe

it or not, an adverse reaction could be pinned on vitamin C. Based on this

single event, the FDA could at its discretion move to restrict sales of vitamin

C throughout the entire country until an investigation proves that vitamin C did

not cause Mrs. ' problems. " (That could take years!)

The supplemental industry arguably has the best product safety record of any

industry in the country. According to Congressman Dan Burton (R-Ind.) a maximum

of 16 deaths were attributed to a nutritional supplement last year. (Excessive

doses of ephedra were the suspect in the majority of these cases, and the

supplement link was definitely proven in only a few of them.) Meanwhile, the

FDA turns a blind eye to the 106,000 deaths from adverse effects of prescription

drugs and the tens of thousands of deaths from aspirin and other

over-the-counter drugs that occur every year.

This isn't about safety. It's about control.

Time is of the essence. S.722 has recently been referred to committee and may

be tagged onto the Agricultural Appropriations Bill. We can and must act

quickly to stop this legislation.

The easiest way to let your senators know what you think about S.722 is to visit

zipcode and it will address a message to both of your senators, allow you to

personalize it if desired, then send it by email or print it out for faxing. (I

don't recommend sending letters by US mail at this time because anthrax

screening has slowed delivery to a crawl. "

freedom, I urge you to respond quickly.
