another intersting day today (NCC)

December 28, 2001

Just a short hello and to share something that hpappned today. I enjoy

sharing these things with you all becuase I belive it affirms what I have

always belived " that WE ARE NOT HELPLESS " no matter what.

you all know Im disabled, so what else is new so are alot of people in the

world (I mean that in a good way so you realize there really are many with

extremly limited bodies)

Well today I went to the bank up the road, the drive thru was closed and I

never get out of car its difficult, but did today as I needed some cashola!!!

all 20 bucks!,ha,hah,a.

As I was going to the bank on my cane a large man and I mean large fell down

he was sitting htere by his car and a lady in antoher car said are you ok?, I

turned and saw him he just couldnt get up, I thought maybe heart attcak or

stroke (looked in mid 50s) so I said sir are you alright, I went over and I

said sir do you need some help?, then I said here let me try to help you a

bit (thinking WHAT IN THE HECK AM UI DOING!!!) I bent down (whihc means very

little) and took his arm, he said he only had one leg and his metal leg gave

out on him(Prosethis) he really couldnt get up so as Im holding his arm and

told him that I fell alot and its ok (he looked embarssaed), it was obvious I

couldnt do thois alone and the other lady got out of her car and came to help

me on the other side....

with TWO of us he was just too large (like 300pounds were talking here) and

Im 93 pounds with no mucsle left , JUST then a younger man got out of his car

and rushed over beuacse we had the man shoved against his large SUV so we

wouldnt drop him, we couldnt let him go or he would fall so we were stuck and

I coudnt hold him and lost the feeling in my arms whihc have about a 11 pound

Capacity at this time in my life and 3 pounds in left arm (from OT tests),

thank the Lord this man helped us.

He was ok, so I went into the semi outside machine and came right out and

said " are you alright and he said yes he just sometimes lost control without

having is other leg to use, I siad oh sir I undertand so very well but its ok

sotmiems we just need help, got in my car and knew I had hurt myself

terribly, came home called a chiari freind cause I had promised and that was

my day, Im still here, still alive and even though we someimtes shoudnt

puysicaly help our spirit someimtes tells us otherwise.

thankyou God, for always allowing us to push further than we know we should,

further than we can but somehow we just do, thats what I call " Gods Grace "
