The Reiter's Syndrome Diet, is identical to the Ankylosing Spondylitis Diet

and should exclude all starches. Please visit the www.kickas.org site for more

details--not the MAIN Fourm (that is a TRAIN WRECK), but the NSD Forum (No

Starch Diet).

Good luck to You,

I have cured ReA. Using Cipro, Biaxin, and pristenmycine.

most improvement recently has been with Lamisil and Fungizone. (major

improvments).

My cholesterol is tested as hight too.

On that:

Diet I follow is much more liberal now, but the low starch diet helps a

lot!

I generally like westonaprice for diet advice.

Hi ,

Hope you and family are doing well.

PS I strongly recommend Lamisil and Fungizone especially considering

all the abx we've done.

Wish you all well.

Hey, bleu!

Great to see you again. We are doing great and hope SoFrance is treating you

well, also!

Thanks for the link; I will check this out. I FEAR eating starches while

taking Cipro, for the potential of developing resistive colonies much sooner.

This has happened to some of our AS experimenters.

I have wondered about effective treatments for candidiasis (one of the primary

triggers for AS). Although I have done some 'natural' treatments per Zampieron,

et al, I have heard from people using the anti-fungals who developed even worse

symptoms (thrush) after the course was finished. I urge caution, but will also

check out the drugs--everything works best in combination with each other...

HEALTH to You, and all reading this,

" Phyllisrer, "

Sounds to me like your friend should seriously consider pain medication.

Pain is bad for the human body and long-term health -- did you know that

exposure to chronic pain causes the brain to shrink by a full CUBIC

CENTIMETER PER YEAR?! Scary, huh! =0

If your friend is experiencing pain that is difficult to cope with, then he

has every right to expect his doctor to provide basic pain meds (probably

some Hydrocodone, in the form of Lortab 5/500's) which should help alleviate

the pain or at least bring it down to a tolerable level.

Regardless of what docs tend to do in these situations -- avoid, neglect,

deny, even outright lie to avoid prescribing narcotics -- your friend has a

right to pain relief. As do we all!

Never forget: we are all our own Primary Care Physicians. We have to act

like it!

-R.
