Purple Cheeks

Hi all,

I've controlled my bumps with A/R Cream, and I love it. But, I still

have a serious problem that I don't see mentioned much. The apples of my

cheeks are purple and fluid-filled. Sometimes the fluid will recede, like

after exercising and it looks better for a while. But, it never goes away

completely, and will swell up again when I'm exposed to artificial light. I

try to be careful about the light and to protect myself, but it's impossible

to be completely free from it. All summer I stayed away from artificial

light pretty much, and my skin felt better (no burning). But, the purple

cheeks remained, and the fluid returned once I started being exposed to

artificial light again. I believe this was originally caused by the

cortisone cream my derm put me on. I got off of it when I realized how bad

it was for me, and I've been off of it for a year now. I had really hoped

that things would improve more than they have by now. If anything, my cheeks

are getting worse instead of better.

Did anyone suffer from this and get better? Did anyone get better

without phtoderm or antibiotics? I'd use those as a last resort only.

Thanks.

I use to suffer from this in the winter especially but between the A/R

cream, the supplements I've been taking and the use of a mild sunscreen, I

did not have this at all this winter. le
