Hi all

That was a great motivator. Just wanted to know if there was anyone out

there who has lost a child to EDS. Our son passed away 6 months ago from

what we believe to be VEDS....I was tested and almost confirmed to have it.

A real guilt trip for me. We are having a terrible time right now with the

holidays approaching. Our son (who was 13) loved this time of year. I

especially am having a tough time coping with it all and we also think of

our 16 year old who will be tested in the new year. As I read all these

emails I feel for those in pain. I myself haven't had much in the way of any

real symptoms except for the premature birth of my late son. I feel an

enormous sense of guilt that my son's life ended so early and I am still

here. Everyones thoughts and especially prayers right now would be greatly

appreciated. We are having trouble keeping the " faith " .

You're so welcome. I do hope it helped a little. I can't imagine how hard

it must be, but you're still here and trying, and asking for help. That says a

LOT, Betty! Pat yourself on the back. OOPS, forgot you may be able to do

that - don't!! :)

Hi Betty,

You and your family will certainly have my prayers! Please try not to feel

guilty! One with a higher power surely needed him for something more important.

Please try to remember him with love and laughter, and just continue to trust

and have faith. May these words help your heart to heal. I found them and

thought they were beautiful.

Don't Mourn For Me

Mother, please don't mourn for me;

I'm still here, though you don't see.

I'm right by your side

each night and day

and within your heart I long to stay.

My body is gone but I'm always near

I'm everything you feel, see or hear.

My spirit is free,

but I'll never depart

as long as you keep me alive in your heart.

I'll never wander out of your sight--

I'm the brightest star

on a summer night.

I'll never be beyond your reach--

I'm the warm moist sand

when you're at the beach.

I'm the colorful leaves

when fall comes around,

And the pure white snow

that blankets the ground.

I'm the beautiful flowers

of which you're so fond--

The clear cool water in a quiet pond.

I'm the first bright blossom

you'll see in the spring;

The first warm raindrop

that April will bring.

I'm the first ray of light

when the sun starts to shine,

And you'll see

that the face in the moon is mine.

When you start thinking

there's no one to love you,

You can talk to me

through the Lord above you.

I'll whisper my answer

through the leaves on the trees,

And you'll feel my presence

in the soft summer breeze.

I'm the hot salty tears

that flow when you weep

And the beautiful dreams

that come while you sleep.

I'm the smile you see on baby's face.

Just look for me, Mommy,

I'm everyplace !

------------------------------------------------------

I'm Spending Christmas With Jesus Christ This Year!

I see the countless Christmas trees

Around the world below

With tiny lights, like Heaven's stars

reflecting on the snow.

The sight is so spectacular

Please wipe away a tear

For I 'm spending Christmas

With Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs

That people hold so dear

But the sounds of music can't compare

With the Christmas choir up here.

For I have no words to tell you

The joy their voices bring

For it is beyond description

To hear an angel sing.

I know how much you miss me

For I feel your breaking heart...

But through our memories so dear

We're never far apart.

I can't tell you of the Splendor

Or the peace here in this place.

Can you just imagine Christmas

With our Savior face to face?

I'll ask him to light your spirit

As I tell him of your love.

So then pray for one another

As you lift your eyes above.

So please let your hearts be joyful

And let your spirit sing.

For I'm spending Christmas in Heaven

And I'm walking with the King.

-----------------------------------------------------------

I hope I didn't offend anyone or their religious beliefs - that was not my

purpose, as I believe everyone has their " own higher being " and way to worship.

I only want to try to put some light in a dear mother's heart.

  • 2 weeks later...

Blissfully along

Take time today to enjoy the things you normally hurry past. Let go of your

worries and frustrations, your expectations and pretenses, and enjoy the moment

that you're living.

Free your happiness from any conditions or limitations you may have put on it.

Experience the depth and beauty of the happiness that fills you when you allow

it.

Look beyond the little things that normally annoy you. Feel how good it can be

to stop fighting against what doesn't really matter anyway.

Though this day is not perfect, the experience of it can be perfectly beautiful.

Count your many blessings, and you'll see that they far outweigh any obstacles

you face.

Release the stressful thoughts from your mind and feel them melt away. This day

is yours to live with peaceful purpose.

Sometimes you can move more surely forward simply by slowing down. Let peace

overtake you on this precious day, and pull you blissfully along.
