Some chiropractors use different methods than the 'norm'. Mine does small tissue adjustments. Yes, he does work on my shoulders and parts of my neck. But, his adjustments are less stressful/invasive then a massage of the neck. He never had me lay on the table; he even does my lower back with me sitting up. He doesn't want me getting dizzy -- which would happen with my old chiropractor, that I went to years ago. Of course, my cervical MRI did show arthritis.
