Guest guest
Debbie, I am so happy for you!!!...This is wonderful news I am reading today!...way too late, but wonderful, nevertheless! Congrats, again!, Joan My SSDI just got approved after 2 years of the initial application. I got denied twice and finally ended up getting a lawyer who helped me tremendously. It took a lot of hard work (filling out paperwork, keeping medical files, making copies, etc) , but it was worth it. I finally won in the end with my lawyer's help. I didn't even have to go before a judge or a hearing the third time. The lawyer somehow got it approved without even having a hearing. That of course made me feel better. Less stress for me. Hope some of this helps you. Luv, Debbie "I believe that friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly." Guest guest
Thanks Rose & Joan, After 2 years , I am so glad the fight is finally over. I think the decision to get a lawyer was the best choice I could have ever made. I don't think I could have ever done it on my own. Luv, DebbieRose wrote: Zippity do da! Way to persevere, girl! Luv, Debbie Debbie, BTW, did you have to go in front of the judge?...If so, what did he ask?...my attorney told me: be prepared for denial 1, then we appeal, and if denial 2 comes, then we go to court and get judge to approve. Thanks for responding when you can, Joan "I believe that friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly." Guest guest
No Joan, that's why I was so relieved . I was so nervous that I would have to go before a judge and what I would have to say or do. The lawyer got my case approved without even having a hearing. I didn't know they could do that, but they can. If they have enough medical backup and information, I guess they feel the lawyer feels he can push it through without going through a hearing. Saves time for him, me and the judge. I liked it cause it also save stress for me. You wouldn't believe how stressed out and nervous I was about going before a judge in a hearing. It was like a nightmare to me.
