> Dear Tracey,

I have my eyes examined every year from the Wilmer Institute at s Hopkins

Hospital. The last visit I had was last spring and they told me that he saw

something, but given my diagnosis he would not do a biopsy because most likely

it was the Sarcoidosis. My concern is that it is getting worse. I feel like I

am looking through a dirty windshield all the time. The only medication I am on

at this time is Toporol XL 100 mg, Hydrochlorothiazide 35 mg and Potassium. I

was on Prednisone and Minocycline. I went off of it because I hade been on

Prednisone for two years and then I started with high blood pressure. I went

into remission for two years and now I have problems again but I refuse to go

back on the Prednisone. The side effects can be worse than the disease. Right

now I am waiting for my next visit to my doctor at Hopkins. I have been seeing

her every three to six months and she is wonderful. She knows about this

disease and runs a clinic that people come to from all ove

Terry, my cataracts started out as a feeling that I was looking through

lace. But this is one Pred side effect I didn't mind. The surgeries were a

piece of cake and for the first time in my life I can't see well without

glasses or contacts. Rose
