Guest guest
Hi , > I just don't want to gain any weight!!! Sheila are you like me.. I > was 90 pounds wet till I had two of my kids.. now after 4 I think I > am just about right at 116.. mabye better at 110 No, growing up I wasn't really skinny. My usual weight fluctuates between 135 and 140, which is just right for my height (just shy of 5'6 " ) and build. When I was in a bad flare I lost about 40-50 pounds in about 2-3 weeks from diarrhea and some vomiting. I looked almost anaeroxic and lost so much muscle was unable to walk up stairs. SCD allowed me to put the weight back on slowly and steadily. For many people they find that with SCD they gain if they need it and lose weight if they need to Sheila 40 mos SCD, 20 yrs UC mom of SCD 25 mos > > My husband lost 50 lbs and I put back on about 40 lbs (I was very > > underweight). > > > > Sheila >
Guest guest
I think from all I've heard that this diet feeds the body, regulates metabolism and such to its normal healthy state, and puts people who follow it with moderation/balance at their ideal healthy state, including weight. Many who needed to lose weight have said that they did without " trying " . I needed to gain, started out at 124 lbs at 6' tall - not good. I've gained 12 pounds since January and all I hear anymore is how healthy and great I look, and I feel good, too. I didn't " try " either, the diet just brought my appetite back and the food is digested well so I feel good eating it... it's the way the body is supposed to work. Guest guest
Big time! When I started the diet I weighed 159. I lost 10 lbs in the first week. It slowed down after that but by 5 months I was down to 129 (from a size 12 to size 8). Of course now I'm pregnant so I'm in maternity clothes now. My husband who looked like the pregnant one lost a total of 40 lbs and my daughter lost 25. My 3 sons are all on the skinny side and all initially lost weight but I believe it was basically water retention. Over time they started to gain but in muscle, not fat. I have not continued to weigh them but I know they look good and are growing too fast height-wise that I can't keep up with buying them clothes. > > > Welcome!
