Guest guest
I am really missing out up here!! The only time I get to have sweet tea is when we go south!! Up here, if you even dare ask for sweet tea, they just look at you funny & hand you the sugar packets!!! No Lie, my daughter has not learned yet, that you can ONLY ask for sweet tea when you get past Indianapolis-she loves it!!! Her big treat is stopping at Waffle House for sweet tea!!! I vould make it myself, but it never tastes the same, I think they even do something to the tea bags up here!!!

Guest guest
If ya'll don't have sweet tea, what on earth kinda tea do you have???? I can't imagine any tea without sweetener of some sort!! I don't care for tea myself but we keep a pitcher made up. During the summer time we have sun tea, now that is good and yes it is SWEET!!! Janice Re: Oh Sweet tea........I love that one too... Guest guest
Hi Janice, I'm not sure what tea we have, but it doesn't come with the word " sweet " because people look at you like you are from a different planet if you dare even ask about sweet tea!! I have TRIED to make it like my grandma (she lives in TN) & I have failed it EVERY time, which only leads me to beleive that they are also doing something to the tea bags here!!! LOL. I have a couple of boxes of TAZO tea here, that stuff is GOOD, like Starbucks, but have never had sweet tea from it!!! Guess I really should move-south!!!! :-) > > I am really missing out up here!! Guest guest
picture this, the tea without the sweet......yuk i know. maybe thats why northerners are the heavier people in the states, no sweet tea so we drink pop instead..... but for any other hoosiers out here, Golden Corral does have sweet tea and so does Logans Roadhouse. Guest guest
Hey Laurie, what part of Indiana are you from???? I would assume that it is SOUTH???? You are so LUCKY!!!!! First, we don't have a Golden Corral up north here, it would be too easy for me to go there :-) & the people up north, here, would be offended if you served them tea with sugar already in it. I don't know that for a FACT, but it seems that way when they look at you. Can you tell that I have LOTS of southern " roots " ???? > > > I am really missing out up here!! Guest guest
Hey, I am originally from southern Indiana, Vincennes, to be exact. We now live in east central Illinois. Around here and in Vincennes, tea is not listed as " sweet " tea but it is unheard of to give someone unsweetened tea without at least giving them something to sweeten it with!!!! I can't imagine drinking unsweet tea! YUCK!! Janice Re: Oh Sweet tea........I love that one too... Hey Laurie, what part of Indiana are you from???? I would assume that it is SOUTH???? Guest guest
Laurie, I live in Michigan City, IN, about 30-45 minutes away from Chicago. we actually live right on Lake Michigan. If I drive to Michigan, it only takes 10 minutes!! > > > > > I am really missing out up here!! The only time I get to > have > > > sweet > > > > > tea is when we go south!! Guest guest
what a coincidence we vacation on lake michigan every year. is a family tradition, have been doin it since i was way small. is like a huge family reunion, everyone takes the kids and we all get campsites and stay for 3 or 4 days. brother, sister, aunts, uncles, parents, cousins... is a blast and the kids have a great time....
