Underlying beliefs that lead to using food

For me it seems that I picked up the belief that food=safety and

food=comfort/love along the way. Since I believe that I act accordingly. I am

experimenting with different ways to change my underlying beliefs and found this

free online " course " to be really helpful. I just completed it this morning and

wanted to let y'all k now about it in case it helps you as well.

When I completed the five in the session I went on to address the belief that " I

need food to be ok " in certain situations. It was really helpful. I just

finished eating and in the first time in uh...maybe forever I didn't feel that

emotional-pull-need to eat something sweet at the end of the meal. (Sweets are

fine but I would want them even after I reached satisfaction/comfortable

fullness) I was satisfied and pleasantly surprised I was able to comfortably

and safely release the eating experience and let it come to its natural

completion!

hope it is helpful!

Cheers,

Josie
