>>shrimp and crab <<

These were the culprits that probably caused your " bathroom attack " ... This is

what all the female members of my family have gone through from eating anything

that is high in iodine. Shellfish is at the top of this list. Sometimes I can

get away with shrimp cocktail, but fry that stuff and I am very ill immediately.

I can't even look at crab or lobster!

Sounds just like hypoglycemia to me with shakes, huge thirst & all afterwards

too. Too many carbs & rich sweet dessert for lunch would definitely do that to

me too. So that kind of eating is a big no-no for me. Even if I eat a sandwich

(bread) I get very sleepy & weak. So I don't do that when out eating only at

home so I can go lie down & take a nap or go right to bed for the night

afterward. I make sure I drink lots & lots of water, amongh taking/drinking

other things, every day too. I all helps to keep my blood sugar as normal as

possible. I sure don't want it to go into diabetes which it CAN do if not

controlled with proper diet.

hypoglycemia

I've begun to wonder if that is what I have been experiencing. Today, I

went out to lunch with my husband, which is a treat as he isn't home much -

so we went to Macaroni Grill. I had some bread with oil/pepper, a bit of

his Caesar salad, 2/3 of my angel hair pasta with shrimp and crab in a

tomato cheese sauce and then we shared Passion Lemon Cake - before I got

through with my portion of the cake I had a " bathroom attack. " We then went

driving around looking at properties. We had been doing this for about an

hour when I had to make an EMERGENCY bath room stop. After that attack I

was so out of it I could hardly drive the few miles home. " Plain drunk and

falling asleep on my feet " is a good description. I pulled into our

driveway - through the seat back - and passed out. Couldn't even go in the

house.

Is this hypoglycemia? Now I feel shaking, dehydrated, and nauseous.

I haven't ever had any problems with shellfish before, but I did eat

cheese and bread which are on my no-no list right now.

That is DEFINITELY hypoglycemia, " drunk and out of it " being a perfect

description of it, with the sweating, nausea, dehydrated, sleepiness. The

diahrea sounds more like food allergy. Hypoglycemia goes hand in hand with

hypo sometimes. Insulin drifting around out there that won't go away

because it can't put that amt of blood sugar into the cells, from cellular

resistance and such.

I would like to emphasize on 's comments. I was severely

hypoglycemic when hypo-thyroid. With enough of a high dosage of

Armour, my symptoms are gone. I'm not graving food either. But when

I'm hypo or too much hyper, I'm hungry all the time....
