Guest guest
Oh, that teacher! I wouldn't give it another thought! Every kid learns this way, unless their parents tell them the truth when they ask! You are right, it's not the teachers' job to keep the myth alive. As far as the schools go here, they can't even talk about santa, sing songs with santa in them, or anything. They say it may hurt people's feelings. Well, I think we need to lighten up! We can't protect our kids from everything they may hear, and they have to learn to live with it. That's life! It seems many people want to protect their kids in a plastic bubble, and not expose them to anything that may shock them. I say that's rediculous, and let your kids live in the real world! mon (as you probably know, my stress level is extreemly high right now. I'm just a bit testy! lol) Re: OT: School Grief - lol lol, well he plans to return to class tomorrow and apologize to all involved. We had a chat about it all. It's sort of sad that he figured this one out but really, the teacher is over-reacting just a tad. I don't think it's her job to make sure that their imaginary rituals are being maintained at the school - there's lots of talk about so many things on the schoolyard! Surely there's something else she could be doing? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ah ha! <light bulb goes off> I know what her problem is!!! She STILL believes in Santa Claus and was crushed to hear it from a 6 year old that there IS no Santa!!!!! <wiggles eyebrows> Bonnie
