How can I add one to the " GIVE ME A BREAK " files? I have one that is

poetically funny (sad)

Extremely ill and having gastric pains too, I went to emergency and upon

querying, told them that I took no medictaons other than a natural thyroid

supplement. They ran some tests and came back and suggested that my problem

could be that I was on Armour thyroid and that maybe was coming down with

something too. They said that I should stop taking the thyroid and sent me

home. I could hardly walk out and was running into walls at this point.

Several days later I ended up in a different hospital where I lost part of

my kidney due to abcessing from a severe ecoli infection. I was hospitalized

for 10 days and they nearly lost me...imagine - and the first emergency room

said I should stop taking the thyroid as it was probably my problem.

I would get a copy of your file from the first hospital than run as

fast as you can to a lawyer!!!! And maybe report them to whatever

agency you can. That is about as bogus as it gets. (IF you were

having clear hyper symtoms I could see them saying stop the Armour

but that would be about the only time. Or maybe an allergic reaction

to it. )

Louise,

This happened a little over 3 years ago. Is it too late?

I brought it up to my brother's wife before and she said that since it was

only an emergency ward, that they are not very responsible for things like

that, that " stuff happens " . You really think I have some sort of case here?

Sorry if I am sounding whimpy here, but I have been struggling for my life

for the last year, and my brother (trustee of my trust account and only

source of income for me right now) totally does not believe in mercury

toxicity, and anything not in medical reports. If my blood tests do not show

thyroid problems, then I won't be believed there either. I am really over a

barrel here.

What counts do you think I could sue on? Have you any experience in

something like this? I already filed for bankruptcy because of the ensuing

hospitalization....

Any input or comments appreciated.

I would try to find an attorney who specialises in medical

malpractice and ask them about the statute of limitations.

Last year I was broadsided by a 17 year old girl who ran a red light.

I had to spend the night in the hospital. In the emergency room they

did neck and chest x rays and had me in a neck brace until those

results came back. They did a CT scan which showed blood on my brain

so I had to have another one the next day. While in neurological ICU

I was hooked up to gizmos and had a nurse check on me every hour.

Only after they got the results of the 2nd ct scan did they release

me. Even in emergency rooms they need to follow procedures. I think

you might have a case.

I was travelling and bought some Brown Cow organic yogurt and it sat in the

car for a couple of hours and got warmish before I ate it all. I think that

had to be it. Ecoli must have already been in there and I incubated some.

My engine had blown up in Minnesota and they were putitng a new one in, so I

got stuck in a motel there doing everything I knew of to fight a toxic

reaction since the ER had sent me home. Didn't know what else to do, and

everything I did made the symptms finally get a lot better (Lots of C and

activated charcoal)......for awhile. I had had the ecoli for about 7-10 days

before I ended up in a hospital down in Arizona.

They took one look at me and said I wasn't going anywhere...they never asked

how I could have gotten it.

Thanks for caring..I thought it was just " another one of those things " I got

to endure....

Glad you said that because I *definitely* think it's a conspiracy called

" Depopulation " & " One World Order " of the " Big Brother " kind. And I have a

lotta friends who completely agree with me who've seen & /or have experienced the

other evidence of it.

Yesterday I contacted a malpractice firm in Minnesota (where is happened,)

and it was real dishearteneing. They had me talk to a legal nurse, and she

said she could not really see a case here...she said that I would have to

prove that the fact that I was mistreated (if I was) had caused me

permamnent damage that was causing me health problems that was making it so

I could not work today, etc....

When I told her I had all sorts of health problems, she asked what my

current " medical " doctor said.

So now when you add my current problems (like mercury toxicity which is not

accepted by the legal arenas) into the picture, it becomes a real sloppy

soup. So what if I lost part of my kidney and damaged and adrenal gland, and

was almost killed by the medications? I am alive they figure so what's the

big deal?

I am already dealing with an attorney about estate issues who is TOTALLY on

my side, but when I mention the word " mercury " he practically cuts me off

and says we will not talk about that because it will not be accepted in

courts and such. I know this is a different issues but it all starts top

overlap when you get into it...hard to sort one thing out from another....

It sounded like I could wasted a lot of time and money (if it even went that

far) and end up with egg on my face.

She also mentioned something about the mew legislaton that recently went

into effect making it difficult to go after these kinds of things with out

serious PROOF.

I finally had to say thanks and excuse myself, becasue it got to the point

where I felt I had to defend myself in the eyes of those whom I was seeking

assistance from. She said I should go see this doctor and that, but where do

I get the money to do that? Becasue of estate issues, I can not get public

medical aid either.

Maybe I should still try and get the records form that hospital and see what

they say.......

I'll make a few more calls on monday before I hang it up....my lung is still

a little sore where they jammed needles into it in the hospital, and it has

been jsut over three years (statute of limitations in Minnesota is NOT up)

Try to find an attorney who will take your case on a contigent basis.

If they don't get you anything you don't owe them anything. (Of if

you it's a small bill for copy fees.)

Good luck!!! There just isn't something right about them saying it's

the Armour causing your problems. I think thats where any lawsuit

would fall - misdiagnosis.

I think it very strange that this was a " legal nurse " . No matter what else

she/he does, he still works in and for the medical profession, so there's

going to be prejudice there.

It's more like " wolfeople " to me. Illness makes money that there is no end

to. The medical profession and the pharmaceuticals sleep together every day

and night, and enjoy each other's company immensely.

Yes, " wolfpeople " fits well. If anyone are " sheoples " it's the patients who

believe in the " supreme divine authority " of the AMA/pharmeceutical deities &

slavishly follow their advice & prescribing 'till death do they part.

Yes! ...but I think the word sheople refers to the l folks who on some level

simply allow themselves to be maneuvered by such forces forces instead of

listeneing to their own voice. They allow the voices of such parties to

drown their own out.

I believe that most people who decide to become doctors do not set out with

a mission of gread and control...but along the way, they become prey and

succomb to the forces that be..... they somewhere lose the courage to stand

up and listen to their own voice. Therfore: SHEOPLE. Sad, really.....

Humanity, widely spoken, is also part of the problem becasue we once lofted

them up there as " Gods " ...and now we find out that they are not.....
