Guest guest
Hello Everyone, So far while eating this week (and in the past as well), I notice the need to have something sweet with every meal, even if satisfied or full. I also notice that when I think about buying food from the grocery store to take to work for lunch, I have a difficult time choosing because I oftentimes do not seem to enjoy the lunch that I brought from home. For me it seems that I quickly become bored with bringing my lunch and often find eating out more appetizing most of the time. I also find myself wanting dessert (or something sweet) after every meal. I wouldn't call it a binge, but oftentimes finish the portion that I served myself. For example, today, I bought a pack of chocolate zingers a couple of hours after my lunch. I ate two and a half and ate the icing off of the last one. Anyways, I don't know where I am going with this post....just needed to write it down. Thanks for listening .
Guest guest
, Could it be that you feel you need to rebel? This is a healthy reaction that most of us have to the restrictions and demands of dieting. And even when IE tells us to eat what we want, the old labels of 'good/bad' haven't (yet) gotten resolved within ourselves and the need to reject dictates remains. I too seemed to need to 'finish' a meal with sweets. Part of that must have been rebellion (I want dessert!) and another part might have been that because I tended to eat fast, satisfaction hadn't had time to register, so the sweet would do that for me. Keep up the good observations and doing what you can that moves more towards IE. Baby steps will get ya there too :) Best wishes, Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > Hello Everyone, > > So far while eating this week (and in the past as well), I notice the need to have something sweet with every meal, even if satisfied or full. Guest guest
Katcha, Its quite possible that I may feel the need to rebel. About a month ago, I hired a personal trainer and he was critiquing what I should and should not eat which may be the reason behind possible labeling. Even though I tell myself that it is okay to eat what I want, I am sure that there is some part of me that feels like a failure for not dieting even though I know that I cannot commit to that. I too am a fast eater, often finishing before everyone else. Thanks for the insight and observations. > > > > Hello Everyone, > > > > So far while eating this week (and in the past as well), I notice the need to have something sweet with every meal, even if satisfied or full.
