Guest guest
I had genio in combination with upper/lower surgery. Surgery was on Tuesday morning, and I was allowed to take the chin bandage off Friday morning. I didn't have much bruising, mostly under the eyes and on the side of my neck. You can get special makeup at any cosmetics counter for that - ask for the stuff people use to cover up tattoos. I don't recall having much swelling there either - it was mostly my lips and the rest of my face. The chin had surprisingly little swelling. I've got some pictures on site 2 over the first 9 days or so that will give you a good idea. The appearance change was noticeable, but then, I had a lot done. People who knew me said they wouldn't have recognized me on the street. That can come in handy sometimes, let me tell you!
Guest guest
Hi Jeff, My bandage covered most of my chin and it was really tight. The reason for it was to keep pressure on the area to prevent edema (swelling & fluids) which could cause injury to the soft tissues (which were already traumatized by the surgery).. that's kind of how it was explained to me. Maybe someone else can explain it better. > > > ---------------------------------------------------------------- -- > -- > > -- > > > ---------- > > > Fort those of u who have had a genioplasty how long did it take > for > > u > > > to recover from it?
