I buy samples through www.vitalady.com . There are other sources, but Vitalady is my favorite, as she's a WLS patient (10 years out) and has maintained her weight loss.

She has samples of every protein shake she carries (probably 100 or so) for $1.99 each. I have found many I like (and some I don't) through purchasing multiple samples.

Was just wondering which one would you buy?Does it matter?Do you know where you can buy samples? Thanks

Hi Micheele

I like Champion Pure Whey in vanilla. I also like Pro-Complex but it's abit more expensive.

Both are high enough in protein to satisify our needs.

Go on line to Vitalady, great prices and they sell samples. You might want to look at the sugar free syrups from Divinchi. They mix great with the protein powders and have great taste. I must admit i've gone back to just straight vanilla with a couple packs of Splenda since my operation.

I'm not sure how you're defining the terms, since a lot of people use

them interchangeably. Here's my opinion. First of all, the powders are a

MUCH better buy than cans, and they are almost always better for us. I

would strongly recommend going to www.vitalady.com and ordering a bunch

of samples at $1.99 each. Mix them with about four ounces of water, NO

MILK OR FRUIT. The milk or fruit add a lot of sugar, and the nutrition

in them is iffy when it comes to absorbtion by our altered innards. My

personal favorite is the Pure Whey Stack in chocolate, followed by

banana and cocoa-mocchachino. I did not much care for the vanilla or

strawberry. I like the IDS Cinnamon/Vanilla (or is it Vanilla/Cinnamon?)

and the Nectars, but be aware that they are isolates. The isolates hit

some people's systems TOO quickly, and can cause intestinal cramping and

gas. I do find that if I mix the IDS with the banana Stack, the Stack

acts as a buffer so I don't have that problem.

I do recommend Vitalady as a source for protein. She had the surgery

herself more than ten years ago, followed by her husband a year later.

She has set up a business providing things that are the right formula

for US. If she sells it, it's the right formulation for us. She is also

a source of great information.

Hope that helps!

I do pro complex vanilla and then dr it up with sugar free syrups
