Hi ,

About the idea of not eating anything less than a "5" on a 1-10 scale--is that in terms of taste?

Thanks.

Gracie

Good for you Thea. I find I eat less when I eat the "good stuff" One of my mentors told me never to eat anything that's less than a "5" on a 1-10 scale. It's not that easy.

my husband and i went to a movie last night and afterwards he wanted to get some ice cream, and i was up for that, and what was right there-- cold stone creamery. now I have NEVER set foot in a cold stone creamery. i only buy light ice cream at home. on the very rare occasion i am with people who want to get ice cream, i would be very nervous and then only get a teeny tiny sorbet or some such thing. because, if you know cold stone creamery, their ice cream is like the highest-fat highest-calorie substance on earth. but i was trying to think in an IE way, in terms of satisfaction. so i got a MEDIUM of the FULL FAT ice cream. the cheesecake flavor.. and i ate about half and threw the other half out, because it was good but like liquified cheesecake. this probably seems pretty minor but it is a huge first for me. i haven't had "premium" ice cream since i was a kid, if even then because my parents wouldn't have bought it. it is hugely forbidden. i never really wanted it either, in the same way i never wanted to own an airplane, it was just so out of the question. it does make me wonder if I bought the ben and jerry's, would i eat less overall than if I bought the light stuff. but i think i really do like the light stuff better. it's more refreshing.anyway, just so you all know -- i went into a cold stone creamery and came out alive!thea

Hi gracie,

I think so. Like quality.. If I'm going to get chocolate, get some good stuff, not cheap stuff.. I should pick food I like and want. If I'm going to eat, eat the good stuff. be that good chocolate, or good pizza. Or good lettuce!
