Guest guest
Hi Joan! I think I've found a bit of info on the estrogen! My group leader loaned me a book pre-op that I happened to be looking at again tonight. It's the Boasten book Weight Loss Surgery - Understanding & Overcoming Morbid Obesity. p 145 in the post op adjustments section: " The Estrogen Adjustments: Estrogen is stored in the fat cells. As you lose weight rapidly, estrogen is free-flowing. This free-flowing estrogen can create several significant problems; hair loss, contraceptive failure, fertility issues, depression, mood swings, nausea and period changes. Your gynecologist or PCP should monitor your estrogen levels. In some cases, you may need hormone therapy for a few months while the weight loss is the most rapid. " Estrogen running amok. What a concept! Paige lap RNY 12/11/03 399/370/200-175 Western Colorado Dr. Dickinson

Indeed it does. Playing board games while sitting burns 1 cal per minute .. and walking/running after kids ....burns ... 4cals per minute!!! I remember when mine were little ... a " long nap " was a gift from heaven in those days....
