Guest guest
Some kind of CT Scan maybe? The scan I had in 1985 was the injected radioactive thing. They had some kind of weird name for it - made up of initials; it included liver, bile ducts, & I don't know what else (I didn't have a gall bladder by then). Do you have a written order for the scan? Or written instructions for prep? If you have anything in writing, maybe that will help figure it out. -- Re: The doc called Thanks Kathy. I think LOL Ummmm I'm not 40 yet hehehe Lemme know what you find out. I can't find a thing about that scan.. all I can find is the radioactive thing where they inject the dye but they explained that I would be drinking something and then doing the scan. Maybe I should call and ask someone else. You know you always get 2 different answers if you call 2 different times! ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here
Guest guest
For my abdominal/pelvic CT Scan I had to drink a lot of stuff, then have an IV injection as they did the scan. The CT for my head didn't require either one. -- Re: The doc called My Mom just had an abdominal scan and she had to drink a bunch of stuff, maybe it's the same thing. She doesn't think it had any name but abdominal scan, though The doc called OK when my doc calls less than a week after a test, it's always, ALWAYS, bad news! He says I basically have "sludge" going through my gall bladder and the easiest way to explain it is that I have a "lazy" gall bladder and it doesn't seem to be doing it's job. I'm not sure why he didn't mention taking it out (I don't need it, right?) but now I'm going in next week for a hepataloc (sp??) scan. OK now everyone tell me what you know about gall bladders and this scan I'm having. Help! Christy (rapidly getting tired of tests and doctors again!)
