So, I am at the front end of my journey to eat intuitively. I have definetely

seen progress this week...atleast " baby steps " . But then , i take those steps

backwards again (i.e. our son was home sick and I grazed my way thru the day

without being hungry). So, what is your biggest advice to keeping this on the

front of your mind day by day? I listen to the CDs in my car from time to time

and am meeting with a friend weekly. Thanks for any thoughts regarding this.

Carol, what worked best for me was to post every day as a means to 'check in'

with myself. It also helped to keep IE foremost in my thoughts and focus as much

as I could and was comfortable with. Some days its was 'fake it til' I make it'

and others it was 'wow! I really did some IE today!'. Of course there were days

of Whine and Roasts too, but each day and one day after the other has gotten me

to over 2 years with a happy 'gain' of IE that I certainly didn't have before.

Keep up those baby steps!!

Carol,

Like Katcha, posting every day was a way to really keep IE present in my life. I

also read a segment of the IE book every day or every other day. The summary

chapter and summary paragraphs in the IE book are good to re-read, or I'd focus

on reading aspects of a principle that I wanted to put more effort toward, or

I'd just flip the book open and see where I landed.

I've found that reading posts from this list each day really helps keep this at the forefront of my mind. Also, a bit of advice, don't beat yourself up over your setbacks, instead accept them. You will probably have setbacks as we all do, but if you just accept them instead of beating yourself up over them, I think you will find that they will fade faster. Good luck and welcome.SharonSubject: making this a habit? To: IntuitiveEating_Support Date: Friday, September 11, 2009, 11:57 PM
