Hi It sounds like it's the waves of die-off/detox that I've come to recognise. After 10 days on SCD I had my first normal BM in 10 years - but then scary D, more urgent than ever before. However, for me it was followed by a rash and then all would settle down again as you describe. The waves have been getting less severe and less frequent. It sounds encouraging to me - your son's body is releasing toxins from within, but at the moment there is so much that after a few days it does the ultimate offload, ie D. I find I feel more 'full up', swimmy in my head, a little congested in my chest prior to the D, so you may notice your son is a bit more fretful before. Don't push too quickly with extra detox things like probiotics or yogurt - the diet itself, especially the bone stock, cause a lot themselves.
