Guest guest Posted July 25, 2001 Report Share Posted July 25, 2001 Hi Vera, Warren is becoming more and more unable to stand and even transfer from bed to wheel chair. He's had another seizure last week, and there's nothing to be done, they say. He's not able to empty his bladder completely so I have to catherize (sp) him twice a day and maybe more if he has too much more leakage. My quandry is I'm in that position of what to do. I'm going to ask Dr. tomorrow if he will prescribe a hospital bed, and maybe Medicare or our insurance will pay for it or some of it at least. I'm trying to decide what and how much time I need aides as I am ruining my back in tugging him around, up and down, or should I think of Nursing Home. I know its my decision but needed to vent it out on paper. I think with help and the hospital bed I could keep here at home and of course that's what he wants. Thanks for listening. S.
