newley diagnosed with acm and sm

Hello just wanted to wish everyone a happy and pain free new year. I

have posted a couple times. I was just diagnosed with acm8mm with

syrnix. I dont know much about this but from listening and reading

the post on this site ive learned a little. I wont be seeing a

surgeon till the 7th of Jan. I seen my Dr. today and I told him im

learning a little about this. So he asked me to tell him what i

knew. So i started by talking about the sm. He asked me if the

inserted a needle into the syrnix to drain it. Do they ever do

this? Most ive seen they use a shunt. Also he asked me about how

they fix the acm. I couldnt believe he was asking me these

questions, these are questions i should be asking him right? If

anyone could explain to me what to expect id appreciate it.
