I was diagnosed with 'downbeat nystagmus' before surgery, and for

awhile afterwards. Now 5+ years postop, the problem is minimal,

although I still have trouble focusing at times. I had trouble

focusing on objects, reading material, and digital clocks drove me

crazy as the numbers on them would jump around so much. Along with

that came a lot of dizziness too. Now there's no more nystagmus

during neurological exam.
