Guest guest
Hello All, I've enjoyed reading daily posts for the last week or so (since becoming a member), and it's really helped- to be reminded daily of how to stay on track. Someone mentioned a while back how important it is for you to keep your kitchen fully stocked of foods. And, when you have a particular craving for a food, I remember I'm to stock my kitchen up with it- so as not to run out. I've been doing that lately. Last night, I got a craving for raspberry/cream cheese danish bites- and bought 3 containers of them...more than enough, I thought. When I got home from the drive, the craving had dissipated. I had 5 and left the 50 or so left in the boxes. This morning I woke and wasn't even craving them. I've realized the importance and success of HONORING THOSE CRAVINGS. By going to the store each time I have one, I am honoring that craving. I am telling myself- and teaching myself, that I CAN and WILL give myself what I want when I want it. This is helping to eliminate that world of deprivation and scarcity...and easing my anxiety and allowing me to relax- and eat intuitively. I need to remember too, that every time I blow off my hunger- or keep it on hold, ...until I can finally get some food- I am doing damage (taking steps back). I will truly learn to stop eating when I'm full only WHEN I honor my hunger (and eat) to the same degree. So, I have started to shift my focus to noticing when I'm hungry- and having foods with me, available, to eat when I am. Thats's all. Will share more as I begin to learn and " get " these concepts. Cheers! Jenneil
