Guest guest
I know Dr. Shaw's test is a good one but how about giving the diet awhile. How long have you been doing SCD? Maybe 3-6 months and then have it rechecked? Also there are good tests for yeast that may be cheaper at Great Smokies Diagnostic Labs in NC. Our primary insurance pretty much covers it all and I don't even pay up front. My daughter took Nystatin for years and I'm sure at first it was a help but the yeast became resistant to it. Take care, Kathy, mom of Hannah-13, NT, Abby-9,ASD, UC and SCD 3 months off one then restarted 6-13-04 > > So what kind of reaction do you think this might be? Guest guest
you need a hair test. and to give the spectrum of the houstonni enzymes, zyme pep and no fenol forget great plains, you know there is a problem but you are not taking the right steps to remedy it. oregano oil( btw i use oreganol which is made by north american herb and spice) and candex are useful assist with yeast, that is they can help modify the stoamch flora but the problem is that the innate immune system of the gut is unable to knock the yeast back off the intestine wall. > I gave my son 1 drop of Now's Oil of Oregano - only ingredients oil > of oregano and extra virgin olive oil and boy did the poor guy have > the BIG D today! Guest guest
Hi, Oregano Oil is a strong antifungal and antiparisitic. When our son uses it we see what appears to be worms in his stool. We rotate 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. The dose we do is 3 drops/2x daily. We also put it into a empty gel capsule for him to take as it tastes absolutely awful (I've tried it). The Oregano Oil is defintely cheaper than Nystatin, we also see our son's stomach flatten out when he takes it vs. being somewhat distended at times. > >Reply-To: pecanbread >To: <pecanbread > >Subject: Re: Oil of Oregano Question/Reaction/ >Date: Sat, 26 Jun 2004 19:45:55 -0400 > >I know Dr. Shaw's test is a good one but how about giving the diet awhile. >How long have you been doing SCD?
