Guest guest
Hi Natalee, I got a little " traffic jam " as my husband prefers to mention that on the first 6 days post-op. I took a sparkling laxative (citrate magnesia) that tastes like 7 up. But please don't take more than the 1/2 of the bottle!!! Drink a 1/2 cup and wait 30 minutes until you can see the results. If you prefer, you can also try prune juice or blend papaya with milk. I'd suggest you keep eating things rich in fibers. I have tried pea and lentil soup. Good luck! Guest guest
dunno if these were the pills, but pericolace also works pretty well...If you can get a pill in your mouth to swallow! Guest guest
I remember being told once that strawberries are a natural laxative. It just might be a bit early in the season to find them.
Guest guest
Hahahah! This was definitely NOT my problem after 1 week on liquids. Try Ensure with fibre! > Alright, we're all friends here, right? And we've talked about pretty > nasty, gross things in here that have become part of our everyday > vocab. Guest guest
Sorry, Net, I didn't mean to laugh, but it reminded me of my humbled self, tied to the bathroom for just about 2 days solid, living in fear of anybody taking up one second more than necessary (can you tell we have only ONE bathroom in the house?) > Alright, we're all friends here, right? Guest guest
Neta-lee, So it looks like has the real remedy ... call the doctor for help, then somehow the bowels decide to kick into action on their own! What works for me, thanks to my wonderful sister's advice, is Libby's Apricot Nectar. They also make Peach and Pear nectar now. All taste fantastic and work like a charm. Hope things " pass " soon! But how could one possibly know if you were going to continue to be irregular for a few more days or not? Is there some kind of sign to look for?
