Hanging head down

Just read Grammy's post about hanging the head upside down. Didn't write

before this, 'cause it took me this long to remember it.. but I used to do it

too... many years ago.

Also, I just thought of a POSSIBLE explanation... perhaps hanging it over

like that uses gravity to relieve some of the pressure in the occipital

area. Make sense?

That could be a plausible explanation. I had to laugh today. was on

the couch and was literally laying upside down on his head! I asked, " Does

that feel good? " and he answered, " YEAH! " haha.

Hello all, I too am not able to hyperextend my neck in anyway. I couldnt

even enjoy all the beautiful birds at Disney's Animal Kingdom, when my kids

wanted me to look. This was not a problem prior to surgery. Prior to my dx

I would always drop my head forward when my head would hurt or when my eyes

gave me problems. It was just an automatic response to relieve the

discomfort. My MD said when I dropped my head forward I relieved the

pressure from my herniation and allowed the spinal fluid to flow. Just my

two cents. Wishing you all a Happy and comfortable New Year. Patti
