numbness and return of sensation

I have a ?? for the group, I realize that a lot of us have numbness

and or loss of feeling/sensation in one or both hands and arms. I

have had loss of feeling and sensation in my left hand for so long

now,I really miss my hand. I am wondering this:

has anyone had success is regaining feeling and sensation after

surgery?? I am left handed and it's my left hand that is affected the

most. I miss using pencil and pens and handwriting letters and stuff,

but it is nearly impossible to use a pen or pencil for longer than

about three minutes. I have had to have my daughters write things for

me now since it hurts and is frustrating to try and use my hand. Is

there any treatment to regain use of a hand?o I dont have a syrinx,

and my ACM is at 8mm, so the doc is hopeful that my recovery could be

good after my decompression surgery. Whats your experience with this?
