" kind of summed it up for me. When I feel anxious I find myself reverting to old patterns of how I think I can " fix " myself and my life which of course ends up not helping at all. For me it is a way of avoiding what I feel are " bad " or " negative " emotions. I am glad you are exploring journaling... I think just embracing the emotions of anxiety and saying " it's okay that you are here-- i can handle you " helps-- the food is always just food nothing more.
