Guest guest
Hello everyone, My new doctor is much better. She never even mentioned my weight. I brought it up! First I saw a nurse who gave me the fat speech. She was about 20 years old and probably weighed 90lbs. I gave her my, " I know I'm fat speech " . Then I saw the doctor, and saw that the nurse had written on my chart, " admits to eating large amounts of 'healthy' food. " I complained to the doctor about getting the fat speech, and what she wrote on the chart, and the doctor agreed with me! She said, " like she (the nurse) would know what it is like to try and lose weight " . I think I was in shock. The doctor isn't even overweight, and she seemed to understand. Anyway, she listened to my concerns about muscle pains I've been having, and didn't call me crazy, or blame it on my weight! She actually ordered blood tests pertaining to the muscle pain, and not to being fat, ie cholesterol, blood sugar, liver nubmers etc., and thinks I'm having inflammation from a virus I had recently. I was so discouraged from that last doctor that I almost didn't go today. I'm glad I did. Thanks for all the support everyone! Kath
