Welcome ,

Its nice to hear from a long time lurker. Sounds like you are aware of what's

happening which is always a good place to start from. Your post strikes memories

for me of how I could eat and not even have it 'register' at all. I'm glad that

you choose to post when you couldn't find immediate ears to listen. That's what

I so love about online support - its 24/7 as well as so many different people

for sounding off of.

BEST to you, Katcha

yesterday. Somehow, I think with some help from Roth's book and past input from

Gillian, I didn't panic.

restaurant for supper: left lots of chips in the basket and have enough fajita

fixings for lunch and maybe supper tomorrow.

Hi, . Congratulations on your successes with the fajitas and chips (some of my favorite restaurant foods that I've eaten mindlessly in the past). You recognized that you didn't really need a loaf and a half of sweet quick bread and I'm sure you can move past it. Keep up the good work!

Its been a while since we (me and dear hubby) went to a Mexican restaurant to

eat and yep, chips and salsa usually got gobbled up long before the meal

arrived. The last time we went I remember remarking how we did the chip routine

and how I realized that this was mainly because 1) we were so hungry and 2) when

my appetite is somewhat satisfied, I really don't TASTE the meal as much. Laying

off the chips let me really taste the meal and guess what - its wasn't all that

wonderful either. I make better Mexican food at home and we both agreed we

preferred it over the soupy refried beans and entrees buried in (cheap) cheese.

Being new to IE, this kind of life/attitude is what I'm aiming for. ;-)
