Guest guest
I am finally going to go in and have an evaluation, and I have a couple of questions for those of you who have already been there: Was your case mild or severe? Mine is mild. I am wondering if I should bring a niacin tablet with me to the appointment to induce a flush. My main problem is flushing. Did you feel that their prices were reasonable? I know that Bitter's Los Gatos web site charges roughly $400 per treatment and I'm assuming Vein Solutions prices are comparable. (On the vein solutions web site it says that screening/evaluation is free, although I didn't confirm that when I made the appointment.) Thanks! Guest guest
-- In terms of redness, flushing, and blemishes, my case is mild. Only a couple very small visible thread veins on the side of my nose when I started. But my skin's always been really sensitive--since the rosacea kicked in, I've been reacting to everything (even photoderm, it seems). I didn't try to induce a flush for my first two treatments--I thought it would be better, at first, if they could see how my skin usually looks so they could get the treatment settings right. I did drink some hot tea before treatment #3, and pinked up a little for them. You might want to call the clinic and ask what they prefer you do. You could also bring the niacin with you and not take until after you have been evaluated. Since your case is mild, this clinic may tell you that you have the option of treating only the problem areas. Nevertheless, it might be a better idea to treat the entire face anyway--that way, you can be sure you're hitting all the vessels contributing to your rosacea. You can't always tell where those little buggers are hiding out! Good luck to you... PS: I'm paying $450 for a full-face tx at Bitter's SF clinic. --- Rez@... wrote: > > I am finally going to go in and have an evaluation, > and I have a couple of > questions for those of you who have already been > there: > > Was your case mild or severe?
