Guest guest
Hi Gang, I haven't been here much lately. But I hope all are doing well. Has anyone ever seen a report on their MRI of a " lucanar infarct " ? My research shows that it is a very small stroke as the brain is not sending a signal from the spot. Yes, I'm brain dead. Finally...an answer. (g) The radiologist said the recent MRI is the same as the May 2000 one. But the 1996 one was not there. NEVER LISTEN TO THE PERSON TAKING YOU TO THE MRI ROOM! I could have left it. The reason I wanted it read was that I had an incident that sent me to the ER in Dec of 1999 and thought I was having a stroke as I felt like I was losing the power of speech. My neurologist says there is no reason to worry now, and the symptoms of Chiari are varied and these recent symptoms are of likley from the Chiari. I've had occurrence of a flushed feeling in my head along with feelinging neurologically screwy. So, lucanar infarcts anyone? Thanks, Steve C 5-6 mm..not electing for surgery at this time severe tinnitus mild Meniere's Hyperacusis Downbeating nystagmus and some other's I have forgotten due to brain damage (g). P.S. I was approved for SS diability with Anne's help. If anyone has any questions about SS I can probably point you in the right direction. The two important things are " documentation " and " docotr's letters. "
