Guest guest
I stopped making Kool Aide years ago, thinking it was too much sugar 4 my kids. Instead I buy the frozen concentrate (and usually don't allow myself to have any.....that's about to change!. Yesterday my kids drug out the dry mix packets from the pantry (that are there for craft concoction purposes by the way) to make freezie pops. They were restricting their choice to one flavor because they didn't want to make too many popsicles. (Funny thing was, I had to be the one to suggest they DRINK the leftover juice). Well, here I am at 4 a.m. awake and feeling hungry. After eating a bit of something that wasn't helping, I looked in the refrigerator and THERE it was! What a delightful experience, it only took one cup of this ice cold beverage and this post for my tummy and tongue to be satisfied! I just discovered that I had a forbidden food that I wasn't even aware of. Hmmmm I wonder how many others are lurking out there. I bet my little sweethearts will lead me to them! Guest guest
I have made these summer delights using fruit juices (mainly apple) instead of water and using less sugar because of the natural sweetness in the juice. It also makes a much nicer and less 'artificial' taste too.
